SPM 174
Count the Windows
Lampwright. 8 października 2026, 3:18.
Lamp 10, a first-kiss letter from the top of the radio mast.
O piosence
She wrote it at dawn on the back of the count sheet. On the night Northgate counted every lit window in the north, two young volunteers climbed the radio mast with a pencil and a flask of tea, shouted the numbers into the wind and lost count twice. The second time was a kiss at window nine hundred and seven. The letter is to him.
Night 10. Lamp 10 is lit. Last night the road was empty. Tonight the north counted its windows, and so did I: one thousand four hundred and nine. Their sheet says one thousand four hundred and ten. Someone wrote one in ahead of time: a third floor by the station, still dark. I will check it tomorrow night.
Play it loud on a night you do not want to end, and send it to the person you lose count with. Tell us your city in the comments. Lampwright will see your light.
